Newcastle United have reportedly made it clear that they are unwilling to let Emmanuel Riviere leave the club on loan.
Rivere has missed the start of the season due to a knee injury, but the Frenchman is expected to be available once again after the international break in October.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the Championship clubs who hold an interest in the 25-year-old, who netted just one goal in a disappointing debut season with the Magpies.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, Papiss Cisse and Ayoze Perez all appear to be ahead of Riviere in the pecking order, but the report suggests that Newcastle are keen to retain his services.
Newcastle have scored just five goals in seven Premier League games this season.
