Newcastle United's latest bid for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin has reportedly been rejected.
The bid is believed to be around €17m (£11.9m) but according to RMC, Thauvin has both publicly and privately admitted his desire to stay with Marcelo Bielsa's side.
The 22-year-old had a decent season statistically in Ligue 1 despite his critics, scoring five goals and making eight assists in 36 league appearances.
Newcastle boss Steve McClaren is still looking to add to the squad after the additions of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Georginio Wijnaldum earlier this month.
Marseille signed Thauvin from Lille back in 2013 for €15m (£10.5m).
