Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is said to be keen on signing River Plate centre-back German Pezzella.
The 21-year-old is also attracting reported interest from Serie A duo Napoli and Roma.
According to The Sun, River are willing to sell Pezzella for around £4.5m.
Pezzella has been capped 26 times by Argentina at Under-20 level.
