Newport County manager John Sheridan has voiced his delight after welcoming former Northern Ireland international striker Warren Feeney to the club as his new assistant manager.
Sheridan was hired by the Exiles at the start of October following the sacking of Terry Butcher, and now hopes that Feeney can help to get the club out of the League Two relegation zone.
"Warren has just finished his pro-licence," Sheridan told reporters. "I worked with him at Plymouth, he's very knowledgeable about the game, knows the game and hopefully my experience can rub off on him, he wants to get management experience. I'm looking forward to working with him. I'm really pleased to have him here."
Newport have won just once in their opening 11 league games this season.
