Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he is planning to take a break from football before accepting his next job.
The 36-year-old Portuguese was sacked by Spurs last month following an 18-month spell in charge at White Hart Lane.
Despite insisting that he will return to the dugout in the future, Villas-Boas admits that he will only take up a post if he feels valued.
"I have decided to take a break. I want to learn a bit and refresh my batteries, but I can't imagine a life without football," he told Abendzeitung Munich.
"I have learnt that [the next job] has to fit 100%, and the club has to value the coach."
Villas-Boas began his managerial career in 2009 with Portuguese outfit Academica.
