David Beckham is reportedly in Miami to finalise a deal to launch a new Major League Soccer franchise.
According to the Daily Mail, the former England international midfielder flew from London on Tuesday and will spend the next few days meeting potential investors for his new franchise and will search for a site to build his club's stadium.
"We're still in the process of analysing the deal and looking at sites and finalising investor groups," the paper quotes a source close to Beckham as saying.
"We're still in the planning stage, but there is a lot of excitement here. The key idea here is that we want this to last for a long, long, long time.
"We need our partners to be right and we need things to be right on a local, national and global scale."
Beckham was without his wife Victoria and his children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz for his trip to the USA.
