New Leatherhead manager Jimmy Bullard has said that he will be remaining in the dugout during his time at the Ryman Premier League side.
Last weekend, it was announced that Bullard had agreed to become the new manager of the non-league club but despite being just 37, the former Wigan Athletic and Fulham midfielder has ruled out taking to the pitch.
When asked about a potential return, he told PA: "You must be mad, but I will find it hard to keep off the training field.
"I have cleaned my boots off and will be hands-on, it will absolutely be hands-on, that is what I feel."
Leatherhead currently sit in 22nd position in the table after Bullard started his managerial career with a 1-1 draw at Folkestone Invicta.
