Former Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele has been cleared by a French court of assaulting his ex-partner.
The 39-year-old, who denied the claims, had been accused of punching Thandi Ojeer in October 2010.
However, Ojeer was told to pay almost £75,000 in fines for bringing an unsubstantial civil claim to court.
Makelele is currently an assistant coach under Carlo Ancelotti at Paris Saint-Germain.
