Football legend Diego Maradona has threatened to leave Al Wasl in the dark if his demands are not met.
Maradona is in the first year of his two-year contract in charge of the Dubai outfit and has said that he will leave the club if his management conditions that were "promised" by the club directors are not met.
"I am used to being the best and I live to compete," said Maradona.
"I need the players I have asked for to be able to compete and if I can't compete then there is no reason to continue.
"If the reason for not getting these players is the lack of budget, then leaving the club would be easier because that way they can use the fund in something that might be appropriate."
Al Wasl sit in sixth place in the Pro League but are 18 points behind the league leaders and look unlikely to finish in the top four.
