Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo reveals that he could come out of retirement to help struggling Mogi Mirim, the Second Division side where he is president.

Rivaldo has revealed that he could perform a U-turn on his decision to retire by featuring for struggling Brazilian side Mogi Mirim.

The World Cup winner is president at the Second Division team, who currently sit bottom of the standings, but the former Barcelona attacker has suggested that he could play for the club in the near future.

The 43-year-old said in a statement: "Once again, I will sacrifice my family for the good of the club but I hope to see our team in a more worthy situation in the competition. I stopped playing professionally 15 months ago but, if my knee is fine, I could help in some games.

"I believe that by training every day with the squad, with my experience, I will help give the players some tranquillity at this difficult time.

"I'm not coming back to play regularly but as I'm a player with a valid contract, I want to help the players get out of this complicated situation."

During his illustrious career, Rivaldo won numerous team and individual accolades, while also scoring 35 goals in 74 appearances for Brazil.
