New Fiorentina manager Delio Rossi has expressed his excitement at his new role at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The Serie A club parted company with Sinisa Mihajlovic on Monday before announcing Rossi's appointment earlier today.
"As soon as I was called I gave my availability," the 51-year-old told the club's official website.
"I feel this is an opportunity worth experiencing. I hope to live up to the expectations."
The Italian has been out of work since being leaving Palermo in June but insists that past experience counts for nothing.
"I start from zero and what I've achieved in the past counts for nothing. I will evaluate all the players on the basis of what I see in training," he added.
"My aim is to give a soul to this team. I believe in three things: work, work and work.
"I would like to be able to get the team to have chemistry with the fans and the fans to have chemistry with the team. But I am not a magician and I can only try to do it."
After the upcoming international break, Rossi's first match in charge will be at home to last year's Serie A champions AC Milan.
