Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is "totally against" FIFA's Ballon d'Or ceremony because he is a "team lover".
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned the winner on Monday for the third time in his career, beating Barcelona rival Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
While many footballers strive to gain the prestigious award, Wenger believes that individual targets should take a back seat.
"I would not vote any Ballon d'Or - I'm totally against it," the Frenchman told reporters. "I'm a team lover and a specialty of somebody who loves teamwork. I'm completely against that - I would not vote anybody."
Ronaldo scooped the award after scoring 52 goals in 43 games in 2014 for Madrid, who won their 10th European Cup, the Copa del Rey and Club World Cup last year.
