Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido has been relieved of his duties as manager of Egyptian club Zamalek.
The 31-year-old only inherited the position in January of this year, but following reports of disputes with members of the club's board, he has been sacked.
He told reporters: "Ahmed Suliman of the board of directors has told me of their decision to dismiss me."
However, Mido, who has also played for the likes of Roma, Ajax, Middlesbrough and West Ham United, has insisted that he would be willing to take on another role with the club where his playing career started.
"I'm still the son of Zamalek and I am ready to serve them in any capacity," he added.
Cairo-born Mido ended his career in June of last year following a spell with Barnsley.
