Nice striker Mario Balotelli has taken what appears to be a veiled swipe at fans of his former clubs Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Italian's current side have struggled in Ligue 1 this term, sitting in 14th place after a poor run of form, and Balotelli has insinuated that Reds and City supporters would abandon their team in the same situation.
"At my former clubs, a situation like ours would never have gone down so well," Balotelli told French paper Nice Matin.
"There, against Strasbourg, we played very badly and lost a match that we never should have lost, the supporters were always behind us, singing, applauding. To have support like that, it's magnificent."
Despite Nice's struggles this season, Balotelli has netted eight times in 11 matches in all competitions.
