Stephen Keshi calls on his Nigeria players to learn from past experience as they take on France in the last 16 of the World Cup tomorrow night.

Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi has warned his players to learn from past experience as they look to book a place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

The Super Eagles, who finished second in Group F, take on France in Brasilia tomorrow night in the last 16 of the tournament.

Keshi's side started slowly against Argentina last time out, falling behind with just two minutes on the clock to Lionel Messi's close-range finish.

"The players are all aware of what happened early on against Argentina in the group stages," the 52-year-old is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "We came out differently after the break. I hope we can take this experience with us toward the match against France.

"The France players all play at big clubs across the world and [Didier] Deschamps has plenty of options. They have started the tournament really well. It will be a very difficult game.

"It has been a very open tournament. You can never predict what will happen. Look at the Netherlands game [against Mexico] and what happened. Even Brazil are not guaranteed anything. It's been a wonderful tournament."

Nigeria have never previously qualified for the quarter-finals.
