Bottom-of-the-table Northampton Town have defied their lowly league position during the first half at Sixfields to frustrate League Two promotion chasers Fleetwood Town.
The Cobblers started the game brightly and earned a succession of corners to pile pressure on the Cod Army.
Northampton have shaded possession throughout the opening 45 minutes, although Fleetwood have come closest to breaking the deadlock.
David Ball struck the post midway through the half after collecting a low cross from Gareth Evans.
Ball, who prior to today had scored three goals in his last three games, then limped off just before half time.
The 23-year-old left the field with a suspected dislocated shoulder after colliding with Mathias Kouo-Doumbe, who was shown a yellow card.
