Northampton Town have signed former Sunderland striker Roy O'Donovan on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd knows the 27-year-old as he bought him when he was in charge of Coventry City in 2010.
"Roy is a striker who can also play in both wide areas and he has played a number of games in the Premier League," Boothroyd told the club's official website.
"He is fit, athletic, mobile and he has an eye for goal. He will give us a different kind of threat to the other players we have at the club."
O'Donovan made seven appearances for the Sky Blues this season before being released.
