Northampton Town manager Aidy Boothroyd has backed Dean Snedker's loan move to Carshalton Athletic.

Snedker has moved to the Isthmian League Premier Division side for a month, and Boothroyd has insisted that the 18-year-old will benefit from the experience.

The 42-year-old told the club's official website: "This move will do Dean good.

"He needs first team football to help with his development and I am sure that he will do well for Carshalton."

Snedker made his debut for the England Under-19 side earlier this year.
