Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has been ruled out of Northern Ireland's vital Group F Euro 2016 qualifier against Romania.
The 29-year-old is captain of his country and has played every minute of the their dream start to qualifying so far, but won't take part in Bucharest on Friday because of a "minor hamstring complaint".
Davis came off injured in the first half of Southampton's Premier League victory over Leicester City on Saturday and after examination by Northern Ireland's physios, it has been agreed that he is not fit enough to face Romania.
Michael O'Neill's side have won all three of their Group F games so far to sit top of Group F, with Romania their nearest challengers on seven points.
