Norwich City have confirmed that no further action will be taken after a fan leaked images of the team's new kit before its official launch.
The club was widely criticised for calling Norfolk Police to investigate Chris Brown after the 17-year-old had taken the images from the Canaries' official site as it was undergoing maintenance work.
Brown then published the pictures of next season's home strip 12 hours ahead of Wednesday's unveiling at Carrow Road.
He later claimed that he took the images because of his enthusiasm for the Premier League side.
"Following our meeting with Chris Brown, we are satisfied his decision to download the images was prompted by his enthusiasm and passion for the club and not by any malicious intent," read a Norwich statement.
"We're pleased to confirm no further action will be taken by the club or Police over the matter.
"The club also recognises and has listened to the very strong feedback from supporters criticising our initial handling of the matter and this is something we have acknowledged to Mr Brown and his family, and apologised for."
Norwich travel to struggling Blackburn Rovers in the league on Saturday.
