Birmingham City have reportedly set their sights on signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel on a season-long loan from Norwich City.
Van Wolfswinkel become the Canaries' record signing when he made an £8.5m move from Sporting Lisbon in 2013, but he went on to score just one goal in 27 appearances during his debut campaign for the club.
The two-time Netherlands international has been shipped out on loan for the past two seasons to Saint-Etienne and Real Betis respectively, and numerous reports have claimed that he is set for another year away from Carrow Road.
Norwich boss Alex Neil has told the striker that he has no future at the club and is willing to let him leave on a free transfer at the end of his contract next summer.
Birmingham manager Gary Rowett reportedly believes that he can revive Van Wolfswinkel's career at St Andrew's and is known to be in the market for a striker to share the goalscoring burden with Clayton Donaldson.
