Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has revealed that he is "delighted" with Russell Martin's decision to sign a new contract with the club.
The Scottish defender, 27, penned a three-year extension at Carrow Road on Tuesday.
"It's about players earning a new deal and I'm delighted to be extending Russell Martin's contract," Hughton told Norwich's official website.
"Russ has played his full part not just in helping us to achieve our finishing position last season, but of course in the club's massive successes over the previous three seasons and he's certainly earned his new contract."
Martin's new deal with the Canaries sees him extend his stay until 2016.
