Norwich City manager has admitted that he is still looking to add new players to his squad before the transfer window closes on Monday.
The Canaries have signed six players this summer, including striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon.
Hughton has revealed that he has enquired about Atalanta midfielder James Troisi, who he worked with at Newcastle United.
"[Troisi] is one of numerous phone calls and enquiries we have made," Hughton told Sporting Life. "It's normal at this time of the window.
"I knew him at Newcastle. He'd been there for four years before I got there. I'd like to think anybody we would enquire about would have sufficient qualities but he is only one of a few.
"We are trying as hard as everyone else. Something can be done on the last day in the last minutes. Some clubs haven't done much business and I am sure they will do so over the next three days."
