Norwich City have announced that Teemu Pukki will leave the club at the end of the season.
After an impressive four-year stint with Brondby, much was expected of Pukki when he made the switch to Carrow Road in 2018.
However, the Finland international has performed to a higher standard than was anticipated, playing key roles in two Championship title-winning campaigns.
In total, the 33-year-old has netted 88 goals from 204 appearances in all competitions, establishing himself as a club legend.
Nevertheless, with less than three months remaining on his contract, the veteran has decided to take on a new challenge at the end of the season.
Speaking to the club's official website, Pukki said: "This has not been an easy decision because of what Norwich City means and has done for me.
"I've loved my time with this great club, but considering the stage of my career, and I know I have a few more years in me, I'm keen for another new experience. I have some amazing memories from my time here, with so many ups and downs. The two promotions were amazing.
"These five years have probably been the best of my career, both from a professional and personal perspective. I don't think anyone believed it would go as well as it has. This club and city will always have a special place in my heart."
The announcement comes at a time when Norwich have dropped off the pace in the race for the Championship playoffs, the East Anglian outfit sitting four points behind sixth position.
While Pukki has not enjoyed the most prolific season of his career, he has still contributed 10 goals and seven assists from 35 appearances in the second tier. body check tags ::
