Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has spoken of his delight at his side's victory over Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the Championship season.
Henri Lansbury scored the only goal of the game to ensure that Forest got off to a good start to their campaign at the City Ground.
"It was always going to be a difficult opening day," he told Forest Player. "The opposition today were very well organised and they made life difficult for us. In the end it's a great three points and a very good clean sheet.
"We had a lot of chances in the first half across the face of the goal and things that just didn't fall for us but great credit to the back five, I thought there were some wonderful performances.
"We're delighted with the efforts and the performance in the sense of where we are in the season. We know we'll get better but it's a very important three points."
Forest face Hartlepool in the Capital One Cup on August 6.
