Stuart Pearce has insisted that he isn't fearing for his job following Nottingham Forest's 3-1 loss to Brentford at the County Ground.
The defeat stretched Forest's winless run to 10 games in the Championship, but Pearce is confident that he will be given the time to get the best out of his squad after taking over in the summer.
"I care about this football club deeply, it is more than a job as a manager to me," the Forest boss told reporters. "Defeat hurts me greatly, but I don't fear losing my job, I don't fear failure, I never have done.
"I think if you worry about losing your job then it is a concern, but I think I have a chairman who has been fantastically supportive of me and everyone at the club.
"I believe I am in the infancy of a job here. We are on a bad run and we need to get a victory as soon as we can."
Forest return to action against Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
