Adlene Guedioura has become the first signing of Sean O'Driscoll's stint in charge of Nottingham Forest.
The Algerian international, who has joined the Tricky Trees from fellow Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers, spent part of last season on loan at the City Ground.
"He knows the club, knows the fans and knows what is expected of him on the field," O'Driscoll told the club's official website.
"I look forward to utilising his expansive midfield play this season."
The 26-year-old scored one goal from 19 outings for Forest during the last campaign.
