Nottingham Forest striker Matt Derbyshire is reportedly close to extending his loan spell at League One side Oldham Athletic.
The 26-year-old, who has previously played for Blackburn Rovers, has scored four goals in 10 games for the club since joining in September.
His loan spell has now expired, but Oldham boss Paul Dickov has revealed a desire to keep the striker at Boundary Park.
"It is a matter of whether we renew Matt's loan before or after the FA Cup tie," Dickov told the club's official website.
"We have to work out dates. If he plays on Saturday, he will have to go back in mid-December. If we can work it right, though, he will be here to January."
Oldham currently occupy 17th spot in League One.
