Keith Curle has emerged as the leading contender to replace Martin Allen at Notts County.
Allen was sacked on Saturday after the side's 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool.
Curle, who was last on the touchline as one of Neil Warnock's assistants at Queens Park Rangers, could be given the job at Meadow Lane, according to Sky Sports News.
The 48-year-old has previously managed Mansfield Town, Chester City and Torquay United.
