Nuremberg have picked up their first point in five Bundesliga matches with a goalless draw with Bavarian rivals Augsburg at home.
In a largely uneventful first-half action, the first genuine chance came after 30 minutes, Knowledge Musona forcing Nuremberg goalkeeper Raphael Schafer into a good save from 15 yards.
The hosts could have taken the lead on the stroke of half-time through Hanno Balitsch, but his shot did not have enough power to trouble Augsburg goalkeeper Mohamed Amsif.
Nuremberg created the first chance of the second half on 52 minutes when Timo Gebhart shot on goal, but it deflected off Sebastian Langkamp.
Patrick Rakovsky, who replaced the injured Schafer in the Nuremberg goal at the break, made a brilliant save midway through the half, keeping out an Aristide Bance header to rescue a point for his team.
