SC Paderborn part company with head coach Stefan Effenberg following a run of 12 Bundesliga 2 matches without a victory.

Stefan Effenberg has lost his job as the head coach of SC Paderborn.

The former Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder was only appointed to the Benteler Arena helm in October 2015.

However, a run of 12 winless matches has seen Paderborn drop to the bottom of Bundesliga 2, which has forced the board to act.

The club are yet to make an official comment, but president Wilfried Finke is expected to address the media at a press conference this afternoon.
