Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty has shrugged off claims of being a 'playboy' following the comments made by Palermo president Maurizio Zamperini.
Lafferty made the switch from Italian side Palermo to Norwich during the summer after making 34 appearances for the club.
The 26-year-old told the Daily Star: "Everything he has said is a joke. It's a bit embarrassing because I definitely didn't just go out hunting for women.
"Basically, he only said it because the Palermo supporters didn't want me to leave and he had to say something to justify the decision to sell me."
Zamperini labelled Lafferty as an unmanageable womaniser after the Northern Ireland striker completed his move to Carrow Road.
Lafferty has returned to English football after coming through the youth system at Burnley before making 83 appearances for the club.
