Palermo have moved into seventh place in the Serie A table with a 2-0 win against Lecce at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
The hosts went ahead on 28 minutes when Mauricio Pinilla struck from the penalty spot after Abel Hernandez had been brought down in the area.
Despite going behind, Lecce created more chances before the break but were unable to make the breakthrough.
The second goal came with 15 minutes to play when Hernandez was able to get a shot away in the box which found the bottom corner.
