Inter Milan lost their opening game of the new Serie A season with a 4-3 defeat away to Palermo.
The visitors led at the break after Argentine striker Diego Milito converted from Mauro Zarate's corner on 33 minutes.
The home side were level soon after the restart thanks to Fabrizio Miccoli's finish, which began a frantic exchange of goals.
Inter responded three minutes later when Milito scored his second of the game from the penalty spot.
Palermo equalised almost instantly through Abel Hernandez's strike, before going ahead for the first time in the match when Miccoli grabbed his second of the game with four minutes to go.
Inter pressed for an equaliser, but it was the Sicilian team who killed off the tie on 88 minutes, courtesy of Mauricio Pinilla's effort.
Diego Forlan marked his Serie A debut with a goal deep into injury time, but it was not enough for Gian Piero Gasperini's side.
