Lyle Taylor scored both goals as Partick Thistle claimed a 2-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Motherwell this afternoon.
Motherwell nearly took the lead in the second minute when Scott McDonald played in John Sutton, whose shot went narrowly wide of the left post after deflecting off a defender.
McDonald headed narrowly past the post in the 22nd minute before Lee Erwin's header was saved by Scott Fox two minutes later.
Abdul Osman's shot was well saved on the half-hour mark as Partick Thistle finally managed to test George Long, before Taylor missed the target from 10 yards.
Taylor opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, directing the ball into the top right corner. He went on to add a second ten minutes later from close range.
Conrad Balatoni and Kris Doolan both had shots saved in the closing stages, and Stuart Carswell was sent off for Motherwell in the final minute.
