Kolbeinn Sigthorsson's late strike gave Ajax a 1-1 draw away at PEC Zwolle in Sunday's Eredivisie clash at the IJsseldelta Stadion.
Neither side could break the deadlock in the first half, although Thomas Necid and Ajax loanee Sheraldo Becker came close for the hosts and Anwar El Ghazi forced a save from Warner Hahn just before the break.
Zwolle took the lead not long after the restart when Ryan Thomas played in Jesper Drost, who bore down on goal and slotted past Jasper Cillessen.
Bram van Polen nearly doubled the home side's advantage just before the hour, but the Netherlands stopper was able to save this time.
The Amsterdam giants were able to salvage a point late on as a corner fell kindly to Sigthorsson, who duly lashed home to deal Zwolle a body blow.
The result keeps Zwolle seventh in the Eredivisie table, five places behind Ajax in second.
