How Brazil could line up against Peru

Sports Mole looks at how host nation Brazil could line up for Sunday's Copa America final against Peru at the Maracana.

Brazil will look to win a ninth Copa America title - and a first since 2007 - when they face Peru in the 2019 final at the Maracana on Sunday.

The host nation are yet to concede a single goal in this summer's tournament and have also scored more than any other team en route to the showpiece event against a Peru side that has surpassed all expectations by making it this far.

Brazil have never failed to win the trophy when hosting the tournament before, and they are overwhelming underdogs to extend that particular 100% record to five out of five.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Tite could line his side up for Brazil's best chance of silverware in 12 years.

Out: Willian (hamstring)
Doubtful: Fernandinho (knee), Richarlison (illness), Filipe Luis (thigh)

Tite is unlikely to make many changes to the starting XI which began against Argentina in the semi-final, but Filipe Luis could return to the side if he overcomes a thigh injury.

Alex Sandro would drop out to make room for the former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid full-back, but other fitness doubts Fernandinho and Richarlison are unlikely to win their places back even if they are available.

Willian picked up a minor hamstring injury in the latter stages of the Argentina win which means that he will play no part in the final, although Tite prefers the Chelsea man as an impact sub anyway.

Brazil appear to have now settled on their front four in the absence of the injured Neymar, and three of them - Everton, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino - are among 13 players level on two goals as the tournament top scorers.

At the other end, Alisson Becker is aiming for a ninth successive clean sheet at club and international level, having already wrapped up the Copa America Golden Gloves to go with the same award from the Premier League and Champions League.
