Peru captain Paolo Guerrero has dedicated his side's 2-0 win over Australia at the World Cup finals to injured teammate Jefferson Farfan.
Lokomotiv Moscow forward Farfan missed the game after suffering a severe head injury during a collision with a teammate in training, and Guerrero was quick to acknowledge him after the match.
"This triumph is for our people and for Jefferson," he told reporters at Peru's post-match press conference.
"Next year we have a new challenge in the Copa America in Brazil. We showed that Peru can play as equal to anyone."
Both Peru and Australia bowed out of the tournament at the group stage as Denmark and France progressed to the next phase.
