Peru have lost forward Jefferson Farfan to a head injury for their final World Cup group match against Australia.
The 33-year-old was hospitalised at the weekend after being knocked out in a training-ground collision with one of his teammates.
Farfan suffered, in the words of the Peruvian Football Federation, a "traumatic brain injury" and had to undergo further tests.
Due to concussion protocols, the Lokomotiv Moscow ace will have to sit out the Group C clash against Australia on Tuesday afternoon.
Peru have already been eliminated from the World Cup following defeats to Denmark and France in their first two matches.
