Peterborough United manager Graham Westley has insisted that his players will benefit from the experience of their FA Cup exit to West Bromwich Albion this evening.
The League One hosts more than matched their Premier League opponents for long spells at London Road, but were ultimately knocked out on penalties after 210 minutes of action had failed to separate the two teams.
Westley was quick to praise the performance of his players, but was also eager to switch focus immediately back to league matters, with his side currently three points off the playoffs.
"Our lads will gain so much from that experience. They performed tremendously but now we have the league to concentrate on, as any manager would say," he told BBC Sport.
Peterborough return to action at home to Bradford City on Saturday.
