Two of the Championship's mid-table sides could not be separated as Peterborough United and Watford played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at London Road this afternoon.
The hosts had an early chance to take the lead when the highly-rated Paul Taylor sent his snap shot just wide but the Posh did go ahead minutes later.
Nyron Nosworthy's clumsy challenge on Taylor led to referee Phil Gibbs pointing to the spot and Lee Tomlin stepped to up successfully convert.
Watford equalised courtesy of Troy Deeney's 11th of the campaign on 26 minutes and nearly went ahead before the break, but Paul Jones saved well from Chris Iwelumo.
The Hornets did move in front shortly after half time as Sean Murray powered a long-distance free kick into the bottom corner.
However, in a game where neither side ever had full control, the hosts levelled minutes later when Paul Taylor fired in from the edge of the box to earn the Posh a point.
