Poland captain Robert Lewandowski has spoken of his delight after scoring a hat-trick for his country in their 4-0 win over Georgia in Saturday's Euro 2016 qualifier.
The 26-year-old moved up to sixth place in Poland's all-time scoring list after bagging a late treble inside the space of four minutes.
Lewandowski has said that it is the fastest hat-trick of his career, but he has paid tribute to his teammates who helped him to score the goals.
"Both for us and for the fans it was worth waiting until the last minute," he told UEFA.com. "It was something special which doesn't happen very often.
"Of course it was the quickest hat-trick of my career, but more than that, maybe it was one of the quickest in history. It is nice I scored these goals, but I would like to underline that the whole team did a great job. Everybody was patient and it paid off."
Lewandowski has scored 26 goals in 68 appearances for his country.
