Scott Brown scores in the second half to lead Scotland to a 1-0 victory over Poland in Warsaw.

Scotland have registered a 1-0 victory over Poland in their friendly international at the National Stadium in Warsaw.

The Scots were under pressure in the early stages, as David Marshall was forced into a save by Ludovic Obraniak in the 12th minute.

Marshall was tested again just before the half-hour mark by Arkadiusz Milik, before Lukasz Piszczek fired over the crossbar.

Scotland's only chance of the first half came late on, but Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was alert to the danger posed by Alan Hutton.

The visitors appeared to have got their rhythm at the start of the second half as Steven Naismith and McCormack combined well, but the Poles soon put the pressure back on the Scots.

First Kamil Glik failed to keep his header on target from a promising position, and then Milik's toe-poke went over the bar.

However, it was Gordon Strachan's men who emerged victorious from the encounter as Scott Brown lashed home from the edge of the Poland box 13 minutes from time.
