Port Vale goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on a new contract.
The 22-year-old, who has made 16 appearances for the Valiants so far this season, will now remain in place at Vale Park until the summer of 2018.
Alnwick has impressed since being released by Newcastle United earlier this year, and manager Rob Page is pleased to see fresh terms agreed ahead of this weekend's meeting with Peterborough United.
"We're absolutely delighted to have secured the future of Jak," he told the League One outfit's official website.
"From the very first day he joined the club his talents were obvious and his performances have backed that up. This is a real coup for the football club."
Alnwick could face his brother Ben when Peterborough visit on Saturday afternoon.
