Alexander Meier has admitted that Eintracht Frankfurt's defeat to Porto in the Europa League is a huge disappointment.
Stefan Aigner gave the home side the lead in the first half before Meier made it 2-0 after the break.
Eliaquim Mangala grabbed a brace to bring Porto level, but Meier edged Frankfurt back in front. However, Nabil Ghilas struck with four minutes remaining to send the Portuguese side into the last 16 on away goals.
"Of course we're disappointed. It was an incredible game, but to lose late on is horrible," Meier is quoted as saying by Soccerway.
"We tried everything to win. We were clinical up front, we played long balls, yet weren't rewarded.
"There's no-one to blame, but we made a few too many mistakes and it wasn't enough in the end."
Porto will now face Napoli in the last 16.
