Hector Herrera earns FC Porto a point as they draw 1-1 away at Maritimo in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

FC Porto have been held to a 1-1 draw at Madeira-based side Maritimo in the Portuguese Primeira Liga .

The home side took an early lead as Edgar Costa nodded in at the back post after losing his marker, sending the crowd into wild celebrations.

However, Hector Herrera smashed a low volley into the bottom corner from the middle of the box after a goalmouth scramble to make the score level at half time.

Silvestre Varela and Vincent Aboubakar missed golden chances for the visitors to win in the second half, but Maritimo held on to secure their first point of the season.
