Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton has admitted that the club could lose every member of their playing squad at the end of the season.
The club will play League One football next year following their relegation from the Championship, and Appleton fears for the future.
"It could be as many as 17 or 18 players out and 17 or 18 in on lesser wages. I'd be surprised if one or two of the staff are still with us by next season," Appleton told The Sun.
The club reportedly have an annual wage bill of £12m.
