Portsmouth midfielder Aaron Mokoena is said to be close to completing a move to South African club Bidvest Wits.
The 31-year-old, who previously spent four and a half years at Blackburn Rovers, featured 19 times for the south coast club last season.
His agent Paul Mitchell told BBC Sport: "Various clubs wanted to talk to him but Aaron is very interested in getting back and being part of the exciting project at Wits.
"Everything is agreed in principle so it's just a matter of sorting things out with Portsmouth."
With 107 senior international appearances, Mokoena is South Africa's most-capped player of all time.
