Portugal midfielder Raul Meireles has revealed that he expects a response from the side when they face the USA at the World Cup tonight (Sunday).
The Portuguese saw their campaign get off to a disastrous start with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Germany on Monday.
While another defeat to the USA would put them out of the competition, Meireles is confident that Portugal will give a better account of themselves this time around.
"We all feel very well, we know we have a difficult game ahead of us and we are prepared to play well," he told reporters.
Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start for Portugal amid reports that he could miss the match with a knee problem.
