Pepe has claimed that the entire Portugal squad must be prepared to fight for a miracle when they take on Ghana in their final Group G fixture on Thursday.

Portugal need to beat Ghana convincingly and hope that there is a winner in the meeting between Germany and the USA to stand any chance of reaching the last 16, and Pepe is choosing to remain confident.

"I believe in miracles," the Real Madrid defender told members of the media. "I think it is possible for us. We know its difficult but we have to fight.

"We have to play our game regardless of what happens in Germany vs. USA, we are going to play our game, get the win, and bring honour to the Portugal jersey."

Pepe is expected to return to the side after missing the previous game due to suspension.
